WINTER 2008
EVERYTHING ABOUT COLOR MIXING with Lola Lichman
Day one: Complete sample color wheels and color charts you can keep for reference: which colors work
together, the right way to lighten and darken colors, how to mix an astonishing number of greens, reds, browns,
grays and more, using just eight colors.
Day two: Practice more advanced color mixing techniques, produce complementary and analogous
color charts, learn different ways to use color to make your paintings really exciting. In the afternoon,
complete a painting using all the techniques you have learned. You'll make new friends, have an intensely
good time, and finally master the art of color mixing.
Classes are from 10:00 to 3:00. Bring lunch (coffee will be provided). Bring a small round,
medium and large flat synthetic brushes, and wear old clothes. Golden acrylic paints, mediums, paper and
board will be provided.
