Learn creative wet-in-wet watercolor with a nationally acclaimed painter and dynamic teacher, Carol Z. Brody NWS. The emphasis will be on color, mood and composition as they relate to the subject. Each day will begin with a demonstration and end with a critique, and students will learn a variety of skills and techniques, such as negative glazing, triple graded washes, creating texture, sponging and lifting methods, to master this elusive and fascinating medium. Carol’s clear, step-by-step explanations, coupled with her enthusiasm, are what have prompted numerous students to call her “the best watercolor teacher” they have had. Carol is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, and was featured in "Splash 11", "The Artistic Touch 4," "Journeys to Abstraction by Sue St. John," "Best of America-Watercolor," "Watercolor Artist Magazine-Creativity Workshop," Feb. 2012, "Watercolor" Magazine, Spring '04 and Fall '90, as well as in "The Best of Acrylic Painting." Her work, which is in numerous private and corporate collections around the country, has been included in over 100 national juried shows and has earned her over 50 awards, including five First Place awards. She has been teaching watercolor since 1987, in addition to giving demonstrations and workshops and serving as a show juror around the country.
